| Tulasi Pooja |
Tulasi Pooja is celebrated with much fervor in Karwar, Goa, etc., in Karthika month, 2 -3 days before the Full Moon. Tulasi is symbolicallly married to a "Ginne" stick, Sugarcane, Gooseberry, Tamarind, etc symbolise the guests for the wedding. In these parts of Parashuram Khand, great importance is attached to Tulasi Pooja, after which only weddings take place.
